Last week, I also got a chance to finally have some alone time with my good friend Toyia. This is going to be her first Indian wedding, and I would love for her to see it up close and personal. Toyia has also been with me through thick and thin over the last five years. She and I met when we were both working at Pepsi, doing the exact same thing - sharing ideas, sharing stories, sharing frustrations....and in the process spending a whole lotta time talking about life and all it's intricacies. She and I see the world the same way when it comes to passion, soul and the things that one cannot touch. We are both hopeless romantics and believe strongly in soul connections. We also believe strongly that people come into our lives for a reason, and that she and I were meant to come into each others lives when we did. There was a definite purpose. Call it soul sisters! She has always told me that "when your man comes, you will know" .... well, she was right, when Saurab came along, I was relentless because somewhere inside me I just knew. Glad I listened...
I can't wait to see her all decked out in Indian clothes dancing to the beat of a dhol! Love you, Toyia!!!
